Kiah Worling is a self-confessed tech nerd on a mission to help busy creatives and conscious entrepreneurs create space for the things that are really important. The pandemic was the prompt Kiah needed to change her offerings to suit her better audience – changes which became even more important.

A not-so-reckless decision to pivot

Previously her offer was a long-term, immersive tech and systems overhaul program. While the benefits were there, it was often a ‘nice to have’ for many of the people Kiah wanted to work with. To devise her shift in offer, Kiah absorbed information she had about her audience, gathered feedback and even approached some fence-sitters about what she could offer that would help them most – then made her move.

Kiah’s pivot is an example in trusting your instincts. The pivot wasn’t as ‘reckless’ as she describes, in that she used the information available to her and direct customer feedback and testing to make her move. That instinct is equally as important as data, as it can help us decipher the difference between what people say they will do and what they actually do.

In being flexible and open-minded, Kiah has executed her pivot to the benefit of her business and found herself busier than ever while working through the challenges of the pandemic.
